A trusted and leading institution of nursing education established in 1986, their graduates have touched the lives of millions over the years. Here, students enjoy a myriad of perks as they hone their caring wings. As a hospital-based college, students are able to benefit from teaching-learning experiences at the adjacent Hospital Lam Wah Ee, which is accredited by the Malaysian Society of Quality and Health and ISO-certified. Their practical attachment at the hospital should allow the students to try their hands in adequate clinical practice under effective supervision. Recognized by the Malaysian Nursing Board and the Ministry of Higher Education, LWENC’s program, comprising six semesters of theory integrated with clinical practice, promotes both personal and professional development through enriching hands-on experiences.
Besides academic and clinical performance, emphasis is also placed on character building and cultivating soft interpersonal skills, which positively impacts the nurses’ ability to nurture the sick. The college has always enjoyed a high success rate for both their male and female nursing students in the Nursing Board Registration Examination. The achievement is attributed to the staffs excellent know-how and unwavering commitment to the cause of caring for the sick.
Throughout the program, students will receive a generous monthly allowance while also being provided with a fully furnished twin-sharing room with attached bathroom at the institution. On top of that, they are also given medical care, meals, uniform and shoes.
Upon graduation, students are awarded the Diploma in Nursing and are registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board. Those sponsored by Hospital Lam Wah Ee are also directly recruited into the hospital workforce, starting them for a bright and stable future ahead.
